What does ANSI stand for? |

ANSI
is an acronym for the American Nation Standards Institute.
Created in 1918, the American Nation Standards Institute is a non-profit, voluntary organization that develops its guidelines and procedures, based on a national consensus process. ANSI is supported by 1000's of companies, trade organizations and professional humanities and receives its funding through private resources. It should also be noted that ANSI Standards are accepted by a wide variety of industries and vendors and primarily focuses its attention on communication and trade guidelines and procedures.
